5 Tips for Wowing VIP Prospects and Clients

first_imgFor startups and young businesses, the opportunity to work with a VIP client is something you can’t afford to swing and miss on. That’s why it’s imperative that you understand how to nail the first impression and continue impressing over the duration of your relationship. How to Wow Your VIP ClientsEvery client your business has is important, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that certain clients are more important. Understanding how to really wow these clients – and prospective clients – will help you earn their business and hang on to them over the long haul. The key to wowing VIP prospects and clients is to strike a balance between authenticity and schmoozing. While easier said than done, here are a few practical suggestions you may be able to implement.1. Make Personal ConnectionsMany business professionals make the mistake of talking too much business with prospects and clients. While it’s obviously important to have business discussions, you really build respect and relational equity by forging personal connections.A client is more likely to do business with you if they enjoy being around you. Try to find some common ground outside of work – such as hobbies, mutual connections, and personal interests. Not only does this make conversation easier, but it also makes you more memorable.2. Ask Lots of QuestionsThere’s a time and place for you to talk, but you really want to get the prospect or client talking as much as possible. The best way to do this is by asking lots of questions – open-ended questions, in particular.“Broad, open-ended sales questions are great for helping you find out what’s going on in your prospects’ and clients’ worlds,” sales coach Mike Shultz writes. “They help you connect with buyers personally, understand their needs, understand what’s important to them, and help them create better futures for themselves.”3. Reduce FrictionYou need to go above and beyond the normal call of duty. This means reducing as much friction as possible and making everything as easy as possible on your prospects and clients.A simple illustration would be calling ahead before you take a client to a restaurant. Not only do you want to make reservations, but you should also ensure the details are all taken care. For example: call ahead and order a bottle of wine, ask for an appetizer to be made upon arrival, and have the chef personally visit the table.A more extravagant illustration would be reserving a charter for business travel, as opposed to a commercial flight. When you reserve a private charter jet, you mitigate travel-related stress, reduce the risk of delays and cancellations, and get the opportunity to sit and talk with the client in a one-on-one setting for an uninterrupted block of time.4. Show Undivided AttentionWhen interacting with a VIP prospect or client, they need to feel like they are your only care in the world. The way you do this is by showing undivided attention.Showing undivided attention means turning off your phone. In fact, you shouldn’t look at your phone a single time when interacting with a VIP. At first, this will feel impossible, but you’ll eventually learn to embrace it.5. Act Like YourselfAs important as it is to wine and dine VIP prospects and clients, don’t do so at the expense of losing who you are. People can tell when you aren’t being genuine.Take a look at your personality and pull out your greatest strengths. When engaging people, you want to emphasize your strengths and avoid your weaknesses. In doing so, you’ll be able to wow prospect and clients without being someone you aren’t.Set Yourself ApartIf you’re slapping the VIP label on a prospect or client, you better believe your competitors are as well. This means they’re also going to spend a lot of time, energy, and money coming after them.At the end of the day, you’re trying to set yourself apart. You want to wow prospects and clients so much that they have no other choice but to work with you. And while each client is different, you’ll become more comfortable with this aspect of business as you gain hands-on experience. Good luck! HTC Nexus Marlin full specifications leaked, to come with 4GB RAM, 5.5-inch display

first_imgWe have already known this for quite some time that HTC will be making two Nexus phones this year. Report after report the picture is getting clearer as full specifications of the two phones have started leaking online. Earlier last week HTC Nexus Sailfish was leaked online, now another report by Android Headlines details the bigger Nexus, which is codenamed Marlin. The report suggests that the Nexus Marlin will support a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 X 1440 pixels. The phone will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm processor, it doesn’t specify the model number or the speed of the processor. We feel it will either be Snapdragon 821 or 823 powering the Nexus Marlin. Another report earlier this month had rumoured that it will have the Snapdragon 821. According to the latest report the Nexus Marlin smartphone will have 4GB of RAM. The phone will get only two storage variants- 32GB and 128GB, there will be no 64GB storage variant. The bigger HTC Nexus will have a 12-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel camera up front. Similar to the earlier Nexus phones, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the Nexus Marlin will also sport a fingerprint scanner under the rear camera. The Nexus Sailfish also shares this design detail with its bigger sibling. The upcoming Nexus phone will also have a USB Type-C port for connectivity and charging. The report regarding Nexus Sailfish also detailed similar specifications with an octa-core Snapdragon processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage. Both the phones most likely will have similar cameras as well. The major difference, according to the reports so far, is the screen size and resolution.advertisementAlso read: Nexus Sailfish specs leaked, may come with 4GB RAM and 5-inch displayWith the rumoured similarities it appears Google is planning to go the Apple way with its Nexus phones, which means it shouldn’t be surprising if both the Nexus phones are only slightly different from each other, just like iPhone and iPhone Plus models.last_img read more

No.1 T20I batsman and bowler up against No. 1 T20I team

first_imgIndia will take on New Zealand in a three-match T20I series starting Wednesday with the first match in Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. After winning the ODI series 2-1, New Delhi is all set to witness the top-ranked T20I batsman and bowler fiercely battle the top-ranked T20I team.On Tuesday, Jasprit Bumrah climbed to the number one spot in the latest ICC T20 rankings.Bumrah, who attained a career-best third position in the ODI rankings on Monday, has regained the T20 top spot after Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim slipped one place. That aside, Kohli reclaimed the top ODI spot for batsman with a career-best 889 points on Monday, overtaking South Africa’s AB de Villiers. Along with that, he holds the top spot in the ICC T20 rankings with 811 points.India have so far lost all their matches against New Zealand, the fifth and last one coming at the ICC World T20 in 2016.For a team that has stormed its way to the top of world cricket with wins over Australia, England and Sri Lanka, among others, this piece of statistic certainly sticks out like a sore thumb.Despite that, with series wins over big teams like Australia, India have firmly stamped their supremacy in the limited-overs format.Having emerged winners in a keenly-contested preceding one day international series against New Zealand, India’s confidence is sky high and they would look to continue the good work in this slam-bang format. With a strong all-round and in-form team at their disposal, India will fancy their chances of improving their record against the Kiwis.advertisementThen there is Ashish Nehra, who will end his 18 years of international cricket journey, and he must be hoping for that perfect ending.Against the likes of Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Tom Latham, Trent Boult and Mitchell Santner, it will take some doing.(With inputs from PTI)last_img read more

Mohammad Amir opened up on spot-fixing after Shahid Afridi slapped him: Abdul Razzaq

first_imgMohammad Amir had confessed to spot-fixing only after then ODI skipper Shahid Afridi slapped the fast bowler while Salman Butt was involved in corruption much before Pakistan’s ill-fated tour of England in 2010, claimed former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq.Spilling the beans on the scandal which tarnished the image of Pakistan cricket, Razzaq narrated the Aamir incident while speaking to the GNN news channel.”He (Afridi) told me to leave the room but after a while I heard the sound of a slap and then Aamir told the whole truth,” Razzaq said. The all-rounder also blamed the then PCB set-up for bringing bad name to Pakistan cricket.”I thought instead of going to the ICC to prove its efficiency, the PCB should have instead directly taken the three players to task despite their denials and sent them back home on some pretext. They should have banned them for a year or so. In the end by not doing this, the PCB spoilt the image of Pakistan cricket worldwide.”Razzaq, 39, also claimed that Butt was deliberately getting out and playing dot balls much before the scandal broke out in England.”I shared my concerns with Afridi but he said it is just my Waham (misconception) and nothing is wrong. But when I was batting with Salman Butt during a match of the World T20 in West Indies, I was convinced he was letting down the team.”Razzaq recalled he told Butt to take a single and give him the strike but he did not pay heed to his advise.advertisement”I was surprised when he refused this strategy. When I realised what he was up to (something) I told him strictly to give me the strike. Yet every over he deliberately played two or three balls and then gave me strike. I got upset and felt the pressure and got out.”Butt, Amir and Muhammad Asif were the three players eventually banned for a minimum of five years in early 2011 by the ICC’s anti-corruption tribunal after they were first suspended in September 2010.All three have now returned to playing cricket after completing their five-year bans. But only Amir has been considered and picked for the Pakistan national team and is presently competing in the World Cup.Also Read | World Cup 2019: Sania Mirza blasts cringeworthy’ TV ads ahead of India-Pakistan matchAlso Read | World Cup 2019: Pakistan sport black armbands vs Australia in honour of late cricketer, umpireAlso See:last_img read more

Immobile double sees Lazio defeat Juve

first_imgJuventus 1 Lazio 2: Immobile condemns champions to rare home defeat Matthew Scott Last updated 2 years ago 02:01 10/15/17 Strakosha - cropped Getty Images Juventus lost at home in Serie A for the first time in over two years as Ciro Immobile scored twice in a 2-1 Lazio success. Ciro Immobile struck twice and Paulo Dybala missed a penalty for the second Serie A game in succession as Lazio won 2-1 to hand Juventus a first home league defeat in 42 games.Dybala’s spot-kick woe came deep in stoppage time after referee Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni had used the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system to rightly award Juve the chance to claim a point following a reckless challenge from Patric on Federico Bernardeschi. But Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha dived low to his right to push Dybala’s effort away before the final whistle went to condemn the Bianconeri to a first home defeat in Serie A since August 2015. Article continues below Editors’ Picks Why Barcelona god Messi will never be worshipped in the same way in Argentina Lyon treble & England heartbreak: The full story behind Lucy Bronze’s dramatic 2019 Liverpool v Man City is now the league’s biggest rivalry and the bitterness is growing Megan Rapinoe: Born & brilliant in the U.S.A. Juve’s dominance at the Allianz Stadium has been one of the cornerstones of their six successive Serie A titles, but a growing sense that their Scudetto monopoly could be under serious threat will only increase after this eye-catching result. The hosts had won their last six league meetings with Lazio to nil, and were on a revenge mission after their stunning stoppage-time defeat to Simone Inzaghi’s side in the Supercoppa Italiana.Douglas Costa opened his Juventus account, while Gonzalo Higuain bizarrely and inadvertently hit the bar from a yard out as Massimiliano Allegri’s men dominated the opening half. But Lazio had designs on upsetting the champions once again and former Juve youngster Immobile struck twice inside seven minutes after the break to turn the game on its head and put the visitors on course for their first league win over Juve in 14 years. Both goals came as a result of creaking defensive play between Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli and, having spurned a two-goal lead against Atalanta last time out – a game in which Dybala was foiled from 12 yards to snatch a win – questions may be asked of Allegri as Napoli’s spectacular start to the season ramps up the pressure.97′ #STRAKOSHA !!!!!!!!!! LA PARATA DEL NOSTRO NUMERO !!!!!!! #JuveLazio — S.S.Lazio (@OfficialSSLazio) October 14, 2017 Allegri had opted to bench Dybala, despite the Bianconeri star failing to play a minute for Argentina during the international break, with Costa and Mario Mandzukic flanking Higuain in attack. With five Lazio players strung in front of a back three, chances were at a premium for the hosts, but they converted their first clear-cut opportunity.Sami Khedira’s snapshot drew a fine save from Strakosha, only for Costa to snaffle the rebound – the goal upheld by VAR after replays showed Bastos had played him onside on the far side.Strakosha denied Khedira more decisively with 10 minutes to play in the opening half, palming the German’s blistering 30-yarder around the post. The Allianz Stadium was collectively astonished when the score remained at 1-0 soon after when Higuain charged down Strakosha’s clearance from no more than a yard out, only to see the ball incredibly rebound clear off the crossbar.Lazio reached the interval having shown little sign of breaking their drought against the champions, but they pulled level just two minutes into the second half, Immobile curling beyond Buffon after he pulled away from Barzagli to latch onto Luis Alberto’s pass.Strakosha denied Higuain one-on-one as the striker’s luckless game continued and Lazio stunned the home crowd soon after, Immobile again splitting the defence and rounding Gianluigi Buffon, who could only trip the striker.Immobile picked himself up to send Buffon the wrong way and put the rarest of wins in the minds of Lazio fans.15 – C. Immobile has scored 15 goals this season in all club comps – currently the best tally for a player of the top-5 Euro leagues. Bomber— OptaPaolo (@OptaPaolo) October 14, 2017 Allegri called for Dybala as Juve’s attempts to get back into the game came to nought and he was soon in the thick of the action, seeing a cross to fellow substitute Bernadeschi just hooked clear by Stefan Radu.Dybala was denied by the post with a fizzing half-volley in the first minute of stoppage time, but looked set to be the hero when substitute Patric suffered a brain freeze with time almost up.With the stage set, Dybala fluffed his lines again, Strakosha denying the South American to move Inzaghi’s men level in the table with Juventus, who now look on anxiously as Napoli look to extend their advantage at the top against Roma.Key Opta stats:- 783 days have passed since Juventus’ previous defeat at home in all competitions (Aug 23rd 2015 v Udinese): since then, 57 games on home soil without losing (50 wins, 7 draws).- Lazio’s last win away to Juventus in Serie A was in December 2002: since then, 10 defeats and three draws in 13 league matches in Turin.- The last player to score a brace away to Juventus in Serie A was Sulley Muntari in October 2013.- Juventus conceded two goals in a home league game for the first time since April 2015 (vs Fiorentina).- Lazio have scored 21 goals so far: only in 1942/43 had they netted so many goals after the first eight Serie A games.- Paulo Dybala has failed to score two consecutive penalties after he had converted all his previous penalty kicks in Serie A (13 out of 13).- Gonzalo Higuain has failed to score in three consecutive home league appearances for the first time since January 2015.  read morelast_img read more
