first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: D.M Jetset Travelworld Network franchisees were strongly encouraged by General Manager, Retail, Julie Primmer to support the group’s sole GDS supplier, Sabre, in a bid to convert almost half of its members to the GDS when competing contracts expire.Increasing JTN market share to 44 per cent in 2011, Sabre CEO Gai Tyrrell said the GDS partnership with JTN members over two years has congregated to a rewarding move of market share in the congested GDS space where contracts run for many years.In a bid to incentivize agents, Sabre is offering an additional value proposition in the newly launched JTN eXcelerate loyalty programme.Ms Tyrrell said innovation within the Sabre Red platform enables consultants to complete bookings 20 per cent faster, using 30 per cent less keystrokes thereby increasing productivity by 20 per cent for experienced agents.Taking the opportunity to outshine Travelport’s slow introduction to its Universal desktop, Ms Tyrrell said the promise of the product will likely “if and when is delivered to be rolled out in their red and white stores before you even get the opportunity to beta test it,” referring to Galileo’s contract with Flight Centre.“With Sabre, isn’t it time to come on board?” Ms Tyrrell addressed agents.“Unlike our competitors saber as a local development team to customize with your branding.”last_img
